Filing changed this year.

HMRC’s free online Corporation Tax filing service closed on 31 March 2026. Every company now files through commercial software, even one that did nothing all year.

AutoTaxFiling is built for exactly those companies: the ones that used to file for free and just need it done, correctly, without a bill from an accountant.

Two services. Straight prices.

Pick the one that matches your year. Either way you see everything before you pay.

Dormant company

Nothing happened this year: no sales, no costs, no transactions.

£10a year
  • Dormant accounts prepared for you
  • Corporation Tax return filed with HMRC
  • A plain-English review before you confirm
  • Filing history and receipts kept for you
More about dormant filing

What we do not do yet

Filing accounts at Companies House, property income, group companies and companies too large to be micro-entities. We would rather say so plainly than take your money for something we cannot do well.

Five steps. About five minutes.

No jargon, no forms you have to decode. Each step tells you what it needs and why.

  1. Tell us about the company

Company number, your tax reference and the year you are filing for. We check it is a company we can help.

  2. Enter your figures

Sales, costs and what the company owns and owes, in plain English with a hint under every box. Your progress saves as you go.

  3. Check your accounts and tax

See your profit and loss, your balance sheet and your Corporation Tax laid out clearly. This step is free. If something does not add up, we tell you exactly what to fix.

  4. Pay the fee

£10 for a dormant company, £25 for a trading one. Only once you are happy with what you have seen.

  5. We file it with HMRC

We check your return against HMRC’s rules, send it, and keep a record in your filing history, ready if you ever need to amend it.

Built to be trusted with a statutory return.

Checked before it is sent

Every return is tested against HMRC’s own rules first. Problems come back as plain sentences, not error codes.

The numbers are worked out, not typed

You never type in your tax figure. We calculate it from your accounts, so the two always agree.

Private to your company

Your details and figures are visible only to you. We ask only for what filing needs, and we never store card details.

Questions, answered plainly.

Do I still need an accountant?
For a dormant company or a simple trading company, you can do this yourself: we ask for your figures in plain English and check them for you. We do not give tax advice, so if your situation is complicated, ask a qualified accountant.
Which companies can use AutoTaxFiling?
UK limited companies that were dormant for the year, or that traded in a simple way and qualify as micro-entities. To qualify, a company generally needs to meet at least two of: turnover up to £1,000,000, a balance sheet total up to £500,000, and up to 10 employees. We check this for you.
What does it cost?
£10 a year for a dormant company and £25 a year for a trading micro-entity. You see your accounts and your Corporation Tax bill before you pay anything.
Do you file my accounts at Companies House too?
Not yet. This first release prepares your accounts and files your Corporation Tax return with HMRC. Companies House filing is planned for a later release, so for now you would file your accounts there separately.
Is my Corporation Tax payment included in the £10 or £25?
No. The fee covers preparing and filing. Any Corporation Tax due is paid to HMRC directly. We show you exactly how much before you file.
What if HMRC rejects my return?
We check every return against HMRC’s own rules before it is sent, so most problems are caught in front of you, in plain English, while you can still fix them. If a return is ever rejected, you can correct it and file again, and your filing history keeps a record.
Can I correct a return after I have filed?
Yes. You can start an amendment from your filing history, change the figures, and file the updated return.
Is my company’s information private?
Yes. Your company’s details and figures are visible only to you. We ask for only what is needed to prepare and file your return, and we never store card details.
When does it open?
Soon. We are finishing our HMRC testing now. Email us and you will be first to know the day it opens.
